The dispute between the...

The issue reached the courts in Navsari and a district court ruled in favour of the trust. The Centre challenged the lower court’s order before the high court.
The complainant stated that the railway officials started demolition drive on the wakf land on June 5 though railway’s own appeal is pending before the high court. In carrying out the demolition, the railways have not followed the order passed by the lower court.
It was also stated that any demolition activity on the shrine’s land is likely to disturb law and order situation in the area because the shrine has got thousands of devotees from across the religions.
