In view of the Bharat Bandh called by Congress Party and 21 opposition parties against the rising fuel prices across India, Indian railways and rail passengers have been affected most as several long-distance trains halted, rescheduled and running late.
Since morning thousands of Protesters squatted on tracks in several railway stations in different parts of the country. With limited food and water passengers on the train suffered greatly.

In view of the protest, East Coast Railway Zone has canceled 12 trains of East Coast Railway Zone that includes Bhubaneswar-Visakhapatnam InterCity Express and Bhubaneswar-Howrah Jan Shatabdi Express d Bhubaneswar-Visakhapatnam InterCity Express.
Railway services have been greatly affected in different parts of Bihar. Thousands of protesters from Jan Adhikar Party Loktantrik blocked railway tracks at Rajendra Nagar Terminal railway station in Patna in protest.

Railway stations in Patna, Jahanabad, Muzaffarpur and Arrah, remained tense as protesters stopped the Arrah-Patna passenger train and 13202 Rajendra Nagar-Lok Manya Tilak Express at the Arrah railway station for several hours.
All the long routes trains passing through Bihar’s Patna, Gaya, Bhagalpur, Muzaffarpur, Bhojpur and Jehanabad badly affected. These trains were seen halting in the stations hours after hours.
Railways have been greatly affected in different parts of Assam. Congress protesters stopped the trains on the track in Udalguri district of Assam. They stepped forward into the train engine and started slogans. A passenger train coming from Rangapara to Rangia was blocked on the way for more than one hour.
In view of the Bandh, the Indian Railway temporarily canceled several trains bound from Puri to Howrah, Sealdah, Gandhidham, Chennai and Mumbai. Several others have been short-terminated at Bhubaneswar.

12287/12288 Dhauli Express,
12875/12876 Puri-Anand Bihar-Puri Neelachal Express and
