BHUBANESWAR: Train services to Talcher station will be temporarily diverted due to safety related modernisation work between Talcher station and south Bolanda from November 8 to 13. As a result of which some passenger trains which are presently running via Budhapank-Talcher-Angul will be diverted via Budhapank-Talcher Road-Angul avoiding Talcher station.
East Coast Railway (ECoR) sources said Hatia-Puri Tapaswini Express and its return train, Rourkela-Puri passenger, Puri-Angul passenger, Visakhapatnam-Amritsar Hirakud Express, Puri-Rourkela passenger, Durg-Puri Express and its return train scheduled to leave their originating stations between November 7 and 12 will be diverted via Budhapank-Talcher Road-Angul. Similarly, LTT-Puri Express, Angul-Puri passenger and Puri-Ahmedabad Express will also be diverted through the alternate route, said the ECoR sources.

more... the convenience of the passengers at Talcher station, the ECoR has arranged road transportation service for the bonafide passengers from Talcher station to Talcher Road station and vice versa. Apart from this, Help Desk will be opened at Talcher station and Talcher Road station for public information. "We have urged passengers to co-operate with Railways for the modernisation work for better convenience in future and also requested passengers to plan their journey accordingly," said a ECoR release.
