KHANDWA: More than 50 trains on the Mumbai-New Delhi route remained affected on Thursday, a day after fire broke out in the central cabin of Route Relying Interlocking ( RRI) system in Khandwa.
The whole signaling network of Itarsi junction had collapsed due to the fire that broke out on Wednesday morning. The Khandwa railway officials have said that they would take at least a week to fix the problem. On Thursday, some short distance trains were cancelled, while routes of a few long distance trains were diverted to ease congestion. Some helpline booths were also set up by the railways and administration at the junction to keep passengers updated about the trains. “Additional force has been deputed on the platforms, especially around reservation counters because there is a huge rush for ticket cancellations and bookings,” CSP Abhishek Diwan said.

कर्मचारियों को दी। सूचना के बाद रेलवे अधिकारी कर्मचारी हरकत में आए और खंडवा रेलवे स्टेशन पर डॉक्टर की व्यवस्था कर दी गई। टे्रन के खंडवा पहुंचते ही डॉक्टर और रेलवे कर्मचारियों की टीम ने ट्रेन में ही महिला का प्रसव कराया। डाक्टरों के अनुसार बच्चा और जच्चा दोनों पूरी तरह स्वस्थ हैं। दोनों को जिला अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया गया है।
