MUMBAI: Central Railway general manager Sanjeev Mittal on Sunday inaugurated platform number signages at the CSMT station.
These signages have bigger fonts displaying the platform number along with the position of other platforms in the station area.
During peak hour rush, these signages will help commuters locate the platform easily from a distance. There are signages installed at the entry of the suburban and main (long distance train) station concourse areas for platforms 1 to 18.

CR chief spokesperson Shivaji Sutar said, “The GM also inspected heritage lane, environment and hospitality management stall, IRSDC stall, electric charging station, escalators, baggage sanitizer machine, executive lounge, railway protection force office, CSMT yard remodeling display and also inaugurated Road Accidental Relief Train at CSMT station.”
Mittal later inspected the progress of heritage restoration work of Byculla station in partnership with NGO, I love Mumbai led by Shaina NC and discussed about the details of work. He also inspected foot-over-bridge and newly installed escalator at Byculla station.
“At all women station at Matunga, her interacted with the women staff, inaugurated an e-book for women's safety,” Sutar added.
